Operational technology / industrial control systems

The computers that run physical processes: factories, power grids, water plants, building systems.

Industrial control systems open valves, run motors and keep refrigeration and power flowing. They were designed for reliability on isolated networks, often run for decades without patches, and an attack on them has physical consequences, which makes exposed controllers a growing concern.
