Model Context Protocol

A standard way to connect AI models to tools and data sources.

MCP servers expose tools (read a file, query a database, send a message) that an AI model can call. Each server is code with access to whatever it connects to, so untrusted or compromised servers, and prompt injection that steers which tools get called, are the main risks.
